the trees

I took part in this big Yard Sale thing today, and it was fun! I sold a lot of stuff (junk to me, treasure to others) and made quite a bit of money.
About a week ago I was sitting around daydreaming about all the new, fun stuff I was going to buy for our new home... when it occurred to me how really, truly lucky I am. Not a lot of women have the opportunity to leave a bad situation and come out on top like I have. Not a lot of women can leave and know that they'll be okay on their own.
So, I decided to take all the money I made in the sale, and my little guy and I are going to use it to give back. We're buying trees and flowers to plant in the yards of people who have received a house from Habitat for Humanity in our area... and I'm so excited!
